Cyprus is deservedly called the "Island of Love." Come and find out why so many people want to buy Cyprus property!
Cyprus is a feast for the senses, the emotions and the mind. Here you can wander through picturesque streets, take in colourful festivals, follow in the footsteps of ancient civilisations and treat your palate to delicious local and international cuisine.
You will witness a culture that draws on Europe and the Middle East and has been shaped by 9000 years of repeated invasion. Crusader castles rub shoulders with ancient vineyards, frescoed monasteries overlook citrus groves and sandy, sun-soaked feet tread Roman mosaic floors.
Discover the beauties of mountain forests then relax on golden sandy beaches lapped by crystal clear turquoise waters.
For a peaceful and tranquil experience, explore the untamed natural beauty of Cape Greco by hiking, biking, or walking along nature trails of wild flora and fauna. Listen to the evening waves crash against the cliff faces of Cape Greco while the evening sun sets the sky aflame before it finally sinks into the Mediterranean.
Shop in fashionable boutiques and talk with the locals, whose ancestry goes back to the ancient seafaring Greeks. Cypriots are friendly in welcome, trusting and trustworthy by nature and will always be glad to meet you.
Meet the local fishermen and farmers, see the world through their eyes and never forget that you are standing on land washed in 9000 years of pride and history.
Climate and Temperature
With around 340 days of sunshine a year, Cyprus has one of the healthiest and most enjoyable climates in Europe. The warm, dry summers begin in May and last until October, with an average of 11.5 hours of sunshine a day. A cooling breeze heralds the coming of autumn yet the sun remains high in the clear blue sky. Along the southern coast you can enjoy swimming nine months of the year. For the remaining winter months sea temperatures are still tolerable but only for the truly dedicated year-round swimmer. The rest of us are content with long, pleasurable walks along the shore. However, the winter is short and mild and the sun usually shines even just after a big storm. The brief winter is followed by a glorious spring of flowers and freshness before the temperature rises again for the long summer, which basically lasts from the end of March to the middle of November.
